Clustering & Chunking
How To Figure Out
What You Want To Do.
And How To Get It Done.

Introduction

The thinking, exercises and techniques presented in this booklet are for people who want to get stuff done,  for pleasure, work, business or for personal gain.

I have used the information that I present here as one of Canada's most successful freelance writers -- freelancing for various newspapers and magazine, and then for a variety of corporate clients--and one of the country's most successful freelance trainers, both in person and online. In addition, I have written and self-published 22 books, learned how to create my own website and several blogs, and learned how to hold webinars and create video blogs.

I have also used it as a husband, dad and dog owner. I have maintained a solid relationship, helped raise a child, gone on an extended European riverboat cruise, walked two dogs just about every day for over 18 years… I could go on (and on and on…) All this and I have had Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for the last 22 years, some years with symptoms that have knocked me on my rear. But I have gotten up each time and kept on going and doing.

I have done as much as many. Not as much as some. More than others. But that is not the point. The point is this: I have done what I have wanted to do. That means I have determine what I wanted to do, figured out how to do it, and done it.

Okay, some of the things--relationship, child and dog--have kind of happened, although we've done stuff and that took figuring out what to do and how to do it. And the rest--my work life specifically and how it has evolved over time--has been all me.

Determining what you want to do, and figuring out how to do it, is what Clustering & Chunking is all about. If you are not sure what you want to do, this book will help you figure it out. If you have some sense of what you want to do but feel overwhelmed by it all, this book will help you determine your priorities. If you know what you want to accomplish, and after reading the first part of this book you will, this book will show you how to get done what you want to do. Even if you are not sure how to get it done or are having difficulty doing it, or are doing a lot of starting and stopping and not accomplishing much of anything, you will learn how to get done what you want to do.

The fact is, as well as I have done, I know that it's all subjective. What is important is that I feel good about what I have accomplished--what I have determined that I wanted to do, and how I have done it. And this book is meant to help you figure out what you want to do and do it....

What you will no longer do, once you apply the information in this book, is digress for the sake of digressing because you don't know what you really want to or how to do it.

With that in mind, let's get on with figuring out what we want to do, and let's do it.
